Review : Fantastic Travel/Commute Headphones
I'm a big Beyerdynamic fan, having picked up a pair of DT 770 for studio work. So when looking for travel/commute/office headphones, I was happy to see the DTX 501p on the market.

Overall the build quality of these headphones is very nice. The headband is a thick plastic with a strong adjustable band, and the ear cups swivel on two axes so they always sit on your ears. The rubberized plastic on the headband and ear cups is very soft and comfortable, and doesn't feel like it will wear down over time. The cable length is just right to reach my phone in my pocket without pulling on my jacket, but is just short of reaching behind the computer at work. Also, the cable enters the headphones on the left side, which cuts down on clutter and helps to indicate left from right without looking at the phones.

Sound wise, the DTX 501p exceeded my expectations for a pair of mid-priced travel headphones. The stereo field is excellent, and the dynamics hold up under a variety of...
