Review : Tame the Monster in your earphones
Being a middle aged guy and one who spends a lot of time at home due to a line-of-duty injury that has left me an amputee, I have turned casual music listening into a real hobby. I own a few pairs of nice headphones (Grado 325is, Soul by Ludacris 150 SL and for days when I listen to classic rock, Sony XBR 500. I have also gone through my fair share of medium to high end earphones and have 3 different types of amps. I wasn't looking for anything new as I'm trying to save up for a pair of Shure SE 535's or an equivalent. I happen to run across these Monster NErgy's on a website. I wasn't going to even read about them as I have not enjoyed the Monster headphones/earphones I've bought...too bassy in that it overruns the midrange and treble to a point where most of my ecclectic collection of music sounds like mud. But I investigated these earphones anyway.

Well, if you're a basshead, don't buy these!! If you like a great balance of tight bass, open mids and highs that don't...
