Review : Excellent at the price point
First off, my overall impression: I got these through Amazon at a great price at the time ($60) and couldn't be happier with them at their price point (or at the current $78). From dynamic range, overall fullness of sound, mid/high separation, and comfort there's nothing that comes close near this price.

Like all headphone reviews you'll see the same inconsistency here: some say "too much bass" some say "needs more bass" - what's a body to do? Well, sound (and what you prefer) is a subjective thing, and the best you can do is try to find a pair locally and listen to find out what you like. I like sound with strong, but definable, bass (not overpowering) and where I can get clear definition of mids and highs without muddiness. These Sony's fit that bill well with an excellent frequency response range (6 - 25,000Hz). I find these to be very comfortable (equal to my first-gen Bose OE1s, which are larger than the current gen) and a huge step up in build quality, comfort and...
