Review : Very good sound, very comfortable
I do realize that this review runs pretty long so if you do not have the time, here are the basics:
The Sony MDR-1R (with cables) are using a very classic design that may make them less attractive than newer designs. However, the comfort is truly excellent and unrivalled by "beats" type headsets.
Sound wise, the Sony do hold their ground versus more expensive models. They are not at fault in either low, medium or high frequencies.

A well-deserved 5 stars.

Pros:
- Nice classic design
- Nice package (extra replaceable cables and a nice nylon bag)
- Excellent sound
- Very comfortable

Cons:
- Price is still a little high
- Remote is on the smallish side.
- Cable is generating microphonics
