I will admit, I was pretty hesitant when I first pulled the headphones out. But to be honest, I am used to buying the expensive, over the top, headphones for my husband. I wasn't too sure about the nylon cord and my only concern would be how long it would last. If it last long and the inner wires don't snap, I am perfectly fine with the cord. Another downer was being able to see the wire on the side of the headphone near the earpiece. I know, I know...these are supposed to be inexpensive headphones so sometimes you can't have everything you want. But the sound? It was actually pretty good! A little less bass than I am used to, but for an everyday use it would work perfectly. Just a note to those who wear glasses....the earpiece was very snug on my head/ears (how these kind of headphones should be) so after about 45 minutes of use my ears hurt from being squished against my glasses.
