Review : Dont' work out of the box, but mostly excellent after setup
First off, if you've bought these and think there's something wrong with them, be aware they don't work correctly out of the box. You have to download the latest drivers and set the sound driver settings exactly right, but once you do you'll be golden. I have system input set to 8 channel, 7.1 virtualization on, and output set to 6 speakers. You also need to go into the properties for the sound card (right click the Artic Cooler logo and choose multimedia properties, go into speakers (usb-multi channel) and under the advanced tab pick the highest (24bit, 96khz) quality setting.

Follow these steps and these headphones will blow you away for *most* media. They use true 5.1 surround sound, with 4 speakers in each ear to play the separate channels. They are extremely loud; I've never set the volume above 40% because I think I'd permanantly damage my ears; I usually have the volume between 25% and 30%. You'll never have trouble with being unable to get your sound card loud...
