Review : bass heavy but elegant
Overall, I am satisfied with my B&W P3 headphones, but it should be noted that there are better sounding headphones for the money.

The P3s are very well engineered and very well put together, using high quality rubber, steel, and soft plastics. The fact that they fold up neatly and into the hard clamshell case is also nice. The inline ipod/iphone controller on the cable works well and is intuitive, though it is placed too far up on the cord itself, meaning that one has to reach close to their adam's apple to activate it. This also means that you have to locate the control by feel and not by sight (it's too close to your chin to see easily). Also, the cord itself is very thin and made of plastic that is very prone to tangling because it is not slick and a bit too rubbery.

Finally, as it is the trend with seemingly most headphones today, the sound is a bit recessed and definitely bass heavy. WHY?? This is not true audiophile sound. Granted, a bit of a bass...


I think, explains the few grievance on Bowers & Wilkins P3 Headphones White not fitting or leaking.
