I am not a big on-ear headphone fan, and I was wary of the resoundingly positive reviews for these cans. However, these headphones provide pleasant sound and great value for about $30. They are no match for high end headphones or iem's...for example in an unfair A/B comparison with Senn ie80's that cost 15x's the JVC's, the JVC's sound compressed and much less defined. Nonetheless, the JVC's have an an engaging bass, pleasant sound and sufficiently comfortable fit conducive for extended listening. These are perfect for situations where you'd rather not take or use your high end cans...i.e. the beach, stationary cycling, etc. They're efficient enough to use directly with portable music players.


I think, explains the few grievance on JVC HAS400B Carbon Nanotube On-Ear Headband Headphones (Black) not fitting or leaking.
